Slots run seven days a week, 7 AM to 11 PM Mountain time, and same-day openings are common. Booking places a hold on your card. Nothing is captured unless a Colorado-licensed clinician signs your letter.

What the next hour looks like

  1. Confirmation

Arrives immediately with your time and the link you will use to join.

  2. Screening

Roughly five minutes on your symptoms, your housing and your animal, completed before you meet anyone.

  3. The evaluation

Fifteen to twenty minutes with a Colorado licensee. This is the step state law requires, and it is why the letter is worth having.

  4. Your letter

Approved, and the PDF is emailed inside 15 minutes. Declined, and the hold is released.

Five minutes of prep that pays off

  • Get the address exactly right, unit number included. Colorado property managers and HOA boards reject letters over a wrong unit designation more often than over anything substantive.
  • Know who actually decides. A landlord, a property management company and an HOA board are three different audiences with three different timelines. Say which you face.
  • Have your animal's details ready: name, species, breed. For a psychiatric service dog, be ready to describe the specific trained tasks.
  • Think in terms of daily life, not labels. What your clinician needs is how your symptoms affect sleep, work, concentration and leaving the house.
  • Somewhere quiet, with a decent connection. Video is better than phone; phone works.
  • Be accurate. Colorado requires a genuine clinical judgement, and a clinician working from an accurate picture writes a letter that survives an HOA board.

Scheduled, non-emergency service. In crisis, call or text 988, reach Colorado Crisis Services, or call 911 if someone is in immediate danger.

Booking questions

Do I need to install anything?

No. The consultation opens in your browser. A phone, tablet or computer with a microphone is enough.

When does the money leave my account?

Booking places a hold. It becomes a charge only after a clinician approves your letter, and a decline releases it.

Why can I not just fill in a form?

Because Colorado does not allow it. A bona fide provider-patient relationship must exist before an ESA recommendation is issued, and a form with no clinician involved cannot create one.

What if I miss the appointment?

Rebook from the link in your confirmation or email support. There is no rescheduling fee.

Can I book for someone else?

The person needing the letter has to attend. If they are a minor, or you hold legal authority for them, say so when booking so it is set up correctly.
